| Artist Notes: |
After painting my oldest son Hunter's portrait, I painted his brother Walker (age 6). They have very different features and personalities, so it was nice having their portraits done using similar clothing and color scheme.
This portrait was done using natural lighting; I like how the warmth from the sun on Walker's left contrasts with the cool blues in the shadow regions and background. I enjoy painting portraits with these sort of contrasts as they add depth and dimension to the subject. |
