| One of the wonderful aspects of painting this portrait of Tommy and Karen was being able to explore and paint such a rich variety of brown skin tones which was quite different for each of them. Karen is the center of attention in this portrait, notice the many lines that lead to her face including Tommy's hand. He is leaning in toward her slightly from behind; the background lighting also focuses on her. There are also several wonderful details for your eye to explore as you wander around the painting. As you do so, notice how your eye always winds back up at Karen. |
